Bought a Single Family home in 2012 in Burlingame, CA.My home-buying experience was a long and winding journey that spanned months in looking through the listings Sophie sent us via email, to showing us properties of interest week after week, to discussing strategies and making offers. Some six months after, we finally set our heart on this one property for short-sale, to which Sophie told us up front that the process for buying a short-sale will be long and full of challenges ahead. Sure enough, another seven months would have flown by before we finally close the deal. Through this extensive period of time Sophie kept us up to date with where the proceedings were with the short-sale. Also, through this long period of time I came to know Sophie as someone who takes pride in her work, who is not only courteous, patient, professional but also a very responsible person who speak frankly in sharing all the pros and cons in my house-hunting experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking into buying a home.

Sold a home in 2013.Sophie is an intelligent, reliable, and rapidly working person that I highly recommend to any of you.
She helped me to sell my property while I was out of the country. It took less then 7 days for her to find a buyer, that includes working on inspections, open houses, document preparation, etc. What I need to do was signing all contracts that she well-prepared. She did a wonderful job about the entire transaction, and the final price is 15% more then I expected.
If I have friends who want to purchase or sell their properties, I definitely highly recommend Sophie to be their agent.

Bought and sold a Condo home in 2013 in San Jose, CA.We had been though other agents before Sophie Lu. She is the first one caring about our true benefits with "great patience". I know how difficlt to purchase a property in Cupertino schools API 900+ with 25% down payment. We understand under the current crazy market, it is almost mission possible. Bought a home in 2012 in CA 95117.Yay! I'm so glad that I'm the first one to write the review for Sophie. Very honored. =) My mom's friend recommended Sophie to us because of the good experiences my mom's friend has had with her for purchasing properties.
Our family is probably the one of THEE most difficult family for a buyer's agent. Our family has been renting ever since we came to the States, and so we are first time home buyers; therefore, ZERO knowledge and asks questions on just about everything (truly everything!). Since my mom and my dad spoke limited English, it was great to have an agent who knew Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English, AND was experienced in the Silicon Valley house market. There are five in our family, and EVERYONE had opinions and often conflicting views on things. Sophie was patient every step of the way, and gave us great advice on where to look and what to look for (e.g. Chinese feng shui, neighborhood,...etc).
We searched from Sunnyvale, to West San Jose, to Santa Clara, to Mt. View, and even to Berryessa parts of San Jose. She also looked for a couple places for us in Menlo Park.
We began our house search in the beginning of 2012, and had a brief break in March/April due to other family things going on. Sophie did not push us to any decision or tried to "sell" us a house for her own benefits (nor abandoned us during our break!). At a point in time, we were even looking at the houses at Fusion, Sunnyvale (where agents would get VERY little commission), but she still went and toured with us, and gave us great insight and suggestions. (We did not ultimately make an offer at Fusion because our family decided the floor plans there does not work for our needs)
We made a total of 4 offers on different houses, all around West San Jose area, and got the house my dad loved on the 4th house offer. We were very lucky, because the market was still super hot when we made our offer near end of August. A lot of props really goes to Sophie for her strategies, and negotiation and communication skills with the seller's agent. (There was another offer that was VERY close to us, and also another all cash offer after us...) Furthermore, it took less than a month to close the house, and we were able to secure a low interest rate because her fast turnaround for our application (and clearly letting us know what info she needs for the app). Throughout all the process, she was patient, available to answer our questions (day and night), and explained things in a detailed manner that made us understand the whole process (being first time home buyer...!)
Since the house we purchased was a fairly old house, there were lots of things needed to be done; she helped to explain the inspection reports to us, gave us recommendations, and even checked back with us when the house remodeling was done.
My dad is really hard to please, and sometimes even to communicate, but Sophie handled everything with grace and patience.
Although we've never worked with another agent before, but we felt the professionalism, patience, knowledge, and sincere attitude from Sophie will be really hard to beat by any other! If you are a first time home buyer, I am sure Sophie will take great care of you!!
